About Us

Andrew J. Levitt established his firm in Huntington, New York in 2002. The firm concentrates in all areas of zoning, real estate litigation and land use litigation including but not limited to residential and commercial transactions (closings), commercial and residential leasing, municipal violations, foreclosures and commercial litigation.  The firm also handles a wide variety of corporate and commercial matters including mergers, acquisitions and disposition of businesses, financing, securities, licensing, corporate governance, and other general corporate and business matters.

Prior to establishing his firm, Mr. Levitt was the Deputy Town Attorney of the Town of North Hempstead and an Associate at Farrell Fritz. At Farrell Fritz Mr. Levitt concentrated in the areas of land use and environmental law, with emphasis on municipal affairs including appearing before regulatory boards.

In 1994 through 1998 Mr. Levitt was the Assistant Town Attorney and Special Assistant District Attorney for the Town of Huntington.

His experience includes municipal land use litigation, extensive courtroom appearances, appeals, real property acquisition and condemnation.

Mr. Levitt received his Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1993, where he served as a Judicial Intern in the Superior Court of New Jersey's Chancery Division. He graduated from Syracuse University in 1990 with a B.A. in Political Science. While at Syracuse, he served as a United States Congressional Intern to Congressman Robert J. Mrazek.

A member of the New York State Bar Association, member of the Real Property Committee of New York State Bar and the Nassau County Bar Association, Mr. Levitt is admitted to practice in the State of New York and in the United States District Court Eastern District of New York and United States Southern District of New York.
